Imagine the JCC—if it also owned a private weekend & summer town just for JCC members.

Hebraica is a unique combination: a Jewish community center with a buildings around the city and a huge campus outside the city, and as part of the extended countryside campus, it has extensive housing of all sorts, where Argentine Jews spend their weekends and summers.

The Heart of Argentine-Jewish Culture

Founded by Einstein and Friends—the leaders of the Argentine Jewish community such as Marcos Satanowsky and León Dujovne—in 1926, Hebraica has been the traditional community center for the Argentine Jewish world for almost a century. From campuses around the city and the countryside and every sort of activity you can imagine, it’s a whole universe in one spot.

Activities & Sports Non-stop for Kids, Young Families & Adults

At the heart of Hebraica today are young families. Don’t think about our Pilar campus as a country club; rather, it’s a unique fusion of a private town for members with a community center. So, weekends and summers are full of activities for kids of all ages, and amateur sports leagues for the parents, and intellectual talks at night.

The Traditional Intellectual Center of Argentine Jews. And the Modern Sports Center.

We are far more than a Community Center; from its founding, Hebraica has been one of the leading intellectual centers of Argentina, with its own publishing house, literary magazines historically. Today, many of our members love amateur sports and that is where we particularly shine.

Weekends, Holidays & Summers:

Argentine Jewish Families spend their (non-school) time here. The Argentine Jewish family culture is different: families tend to have a pied-à-terre in the city where they spend their days when their kids are in school, and the weekends, holidays, and summer (when not vacationing in the long Argentine summer) in Hebraica.

Amateur sports for all ages

Hebraica was founder of FACCMA, the Argentine amateur Jewish sports league, for kids & adults.

Now, decades later, we’re a leading participant, with our kids & adults playing in amateur leagues against other Argentine Jewish teams.

Kids Roam Free

Small town life, combining the best of small towns from the 1950s with the best of the modern world. We hope, at least. Kids roam free, in safety—a mini paradise and haven for Jews in this complex world.

From tiny apartments to mansions:

Housing for everyone.

And yes, that house (in the photo below) does have a pool in the living room. You interpreted the photo correctly!

Lifelong Friendships & New Friendships

So much real «Community» is lacking in the modern world. And Hebraica overflows with community: multi-generational, social, with not only activities but lots of restaurants and space to build your own corner, literally or metaphorically.

The "Small Town" Experience of Argentine Jews

Our paradise, that we would love to invite Jews from the rest of the world to experience alongside us—and get to know each other.

This is the first time in history that Hebraica is opening its doors to Jews outside of Argentina.

Fun fact: Hebraica was founded in 1926 by Albert Einstein, when he came to Argentina and met with various local Zionist leaders (such as Alberto Gerchunoff, León Dujovne and Marcos Satanowksy), with his vision to create a private community for the Zionist families of Argentina.
